A team from the Eastern Africa Point of Care (EAPOC) Project based at the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) participated in the Kisumu County Adolescent Symposium, which took place on February 29, 2025. The symposium was organised by Nyalenda Young Turks. 

Under work package 5, the EAPoC-VL project organized a writing workshop, “Winning the Publication Game,” at Admas Grand Hotel in Entebbe, Uganda, from February 17th to 18th, 2025. There were 34 participants from Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Kenya.

We are excited to announce the return of the 'Figure It Out' course, exclusively open to participants from the East Africa Consortium for Clinical Research (EACCR). After a highly successful first round, this unique training program is back, designed to empower researchers and health professionals within the EACCR network to conduct impactful global health research.

In a global first in Uganda today, @MinofHealthUG, WHO, and other partners launched a first-ever vaccine trial for Ebola from the Sudan species of the virus, and at an unprecedented speed for a randomized vaccine trial in an emergency.
