Kenya reports 4 new COVID-19 deaths bringing the fatality to 1,694.

The Ministry of Health, Kenya also confirms 271 people have tested positive for the virus, from a sample size of 5,830 tested, bringing to 97,398 the number of confirmed positive cases in the country. The cumulative tests are now 1,070,249. 

A statement from the Ministry adds that 609 patients have recovered from the disease, 502 being from the Home-Based Care Program, while 107 have been discharged from various hospitals. The total recoveries now stand at 79,966.

Currently, there are 588 patients admitted in various health facilities countrywide and 2,708 on Home Based Isolation and Care.  27 patients are in Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 16 of whom are on ventilatory support and 9 on supplemental oxygen. 2 are on observation.
