Statement on the rising water levels of Lake Victoria and the Nile system in Uganda

1.0 INTRODUCTION
The president of Uganda, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has addressed the nation at his 13th Presidential Adress on Covid-19 this evening. Many Ugandans were expecting him to reduce on the covid-19 related restrictions and below is his speech in summary;
Two (2) new cases were confirmed for COVID-19 IN Uganda out of the 2,002 samples tested today at the UVRI. Both cases are male; 24-year-old Ugandan and 21-year-old Burundian refugee. They are under quarantine at Rakai Hospital as they are contacts to an earlier confirmed Burundian refugee case. The total number of confirmed cases of covid-19 stands at 18 in Uganda.
Four (4) new cases were confirmed for COVID-19 out of the 1,989 samples tested at the UVRI today. All new confirmed cases are Tanzanian truck drivers who arrived via Mutukula border. Total number of confirmed cases of covid-19 stands at 79 in Uganda.
