The ICASA 2025 Ghana Report

The ICASA 2025 Ghana report focuses on Africa’s latest advancements in HIV/AIDS research, treatment, and prevention, while also addressing integrated responses to TB, Malaria, Hepatitis, emerging viral diseases, and health system resilience. The report underscores the importance of domestic financing, local manufacturing, community-led systems, and digital innovation to achieve the goal of ending AIDS by 2030 and strengthening health sovereignty across Africa.

This report provides insights into the progress made—including a 56% reduction in new HIV infections and 59% drop in AIDS-related deaths since 2010—alongside persistent challenges such as funding uncertainties, health system fragility, and structural inequities. It includes case studies from countries like Ghana, South Africa, Benin, and Botswana; success stories from community-led monitoring and youth engagement; and actionable recommendations for policymakers on sustainable financing, integrated service delivery, and regulatory harmonization.

This document is the official report of ICASA 2025, Africa’s premier HIV and public health conference, held in Accra, Ghana (December 3–8, 2025), highlighting key discussions, achievements, and future priorities in HIV response, health systems strengthening, and community empowerment across Africa.
